Christ Church’s annual Blessing of the Animals will be held outside on the lawn at 9 AM on Sunday, October 4, at the conclusion of a service of Holy Eucharist (or in the Parish Halls in case of inclement weather). This service will take the place of our two 9 AM services in the Church and Chapel on this day in honor of St. Francis, who is known as the patron saint of animals. Please bring your safely restrained pet or a picture of your pet for a blessing from the clergy, along with lawn chairs or blankets and a donation of pet food to be given to Faithful Friends Animal Society of Wilmington.
