Stop by Lemonade on the Lawn on Sunday, August 23, between the 9 and 10:30 AM services and learn about the 2026 Green Show. This Christ Church Christmas tradition, held on December 4-5 this year, brings our parish community together to support local nonprofits identified by our outreach committee. Learn how you can participate in the coming months and help us make a difference in the lives of our neighbors in need.

Summer Cleanout? Think Green Show!

Inside Plants is seeking fun, creative containers for the Green Show—serving bowls, cachepots, ice buckets, planters, wicker baskets, or similar treasures. Items should be at least 4” tall and 3” wide, up to 12” x 14”. We also need long, narrow containers suitable for use with Advent candles. Please leave donations marked “Plants” in the Parish Center reception area. Questions or need pickup? Call Wendy Massey at (302) 353-6851.

Other assorted donations are welcome too! Good quality holiday and household items, gently-used and new children’s toys, jewelry, collectibles and accessories, and silent auction donations—especially use of vacation homes for a week or weekend and unique experiences such as garden tours, sporting events, performance tickets, and gatherings that cannot be purchased on Amazon. Please leave donations in the Parish Center reception area, or to donate an experience for the silent auction, contact Janet Clark-Amodei.

A Few Leaders are Still Needed

This year’s Green Show requires additional volunteers to help lead and coordinate several key areas of this cherished parish event:

• Admissions Chair/Co-Chairs: Manage the process of checking in and registering guests at the Preview Party on Friday, December 4.
• Silent Auction Chair: Coordinate the silent auction on Friday, December 4, working with those who manage the three areas of the event—solicitation of items, catalog preparation, and setup.
• Silent Auction Item Solicitation Chair/Co-Chairs: Lead the effort to request and gather auction items.
• 2027 Green Show Chair/Co-Chairs: Coordinate the overall event to be held in December 2027.
