For generations, the story of Lady Jane Grey, England’s Nine Days Queen, has been reimagined in paintings, documentaries, feature films, and other art forms. Christ Church Choir members Jonathan Fox Powers and Paige Cutrona now bring her story to life in a historically accurate, nine-movement song cycle for voice and piano—one movement for each day of her reign. The music explores the short but remarkable life of this little-known Tudor, who became England’s first Queen Regnant. Join us on Wednesday, November 4, for this special performance. Following the 12 PM Eucharist in the Chapel, we’ll gather in the Parish Hall for a light buffet lunch and then enjoy the performance. Bring a friend and share an afternoon of worship, fellowship, and music. A suggested donation of $8 to help cover the cost of lunch is appreciated. Sponsored by our Elder Ministry, this event is open to those of all ages. Please RSVP below.
