Join the Christ Church Community team as we raise funds to support our outreach partner Friendship House at this year’s Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community on Saturday, May 2, at Tubman Garrett Riverfront Park (80 Rosa Parks Drive, Wilmington, DE 19801). Friendship House has an anonymous matching donor this year, and the first 20 teams to reach the goal of 20 walkers and $2,000 raised will receive an additional $1,000. As one of our outreach partners, the mission of Friendship House is to unite people facing homelessness with loving, supportive communities they can call home. They do this through empowerment centers, financial assistance, transitional housing, seasonal programming, and a clothing bank. The walk benefits other local nonprofits as well, including the Amanecer Counseling & Resource Center, Choir School of Delaware, Latin American Community Center, Read Aloud Delaware, and other agencies supported by members of Christ Church.  Register to walk with the Christ Church Community team or donate to one of the participating agencies below.
