Several times a year, Christ Church hosts families from the Family Promise Network, when members of our congregation provide meals and a friendly face to those in need. Family Promise’s hosting model has changed, and Christ Church volunteers are needed to prepare, serve, and clean up dinner for families staying at the Milltown Road campus in Wilmington. Choose a shift between 4 and 7 PM and prepare pre-planned meals on site in Family Promise’s state-of-the-art kitchen. All food and supplies are provided by their kitchen manager. Afterward, serve dinner in the new dining hall and enjoy fellowship with the families. No experience is necessary, and individuals ages 14 and older and groups are welcome—whether you enjoy cooking, serving, visiting, or simply lending a hand. Sign up below by creating an account and assigning yourself to Christ Church or contact Tom Desper or Carol Morley to volunteer.
