Christ Church is pleased to announce that the Rev. Thomas Word Peters has accepted our call to serve as Associate Rector. Thom’s first Sunday will be July 20. Thom is coming home—raised in Wilmington, Delaware and having attended Camp Arrowhead, he chose a career path in education first, teaching at the Hopkins School in New Haven, Connecticut for the past 33 years. Along the way, Thom served in lay leadership roles in the parish, the diocese, and the province, eventually convinced that he was called to ordained ministry. He has served in part-time ministries, currently as priest-in-charge of St. John’s Episcopal Church in North Haven, Connecticut. Thom is eager to engage in his priestly vocation full-time as our associate rector for adult formation and pastoral care.
