Outreach Opportunities

Emmanuel Dining Room

Emmanuel Dining Room serves meals to the homeless and needy in downtown Wilmington.  Men in the parish meet at the church to cook for Emmanuel Dining Room West (2nd and Jackson Streets) on the first of odd-numbered months.  Groups, individuals, men and women, children and youth share the ministry of cooking and serving at Emmanuel Dining Room East (3rd and Walnut Streets) on the twenty-second of every month.  For more information or to volunteer for this ministry, please contact Hal Schneikert and Marge Hardham by filling out this contact form.

St. Michael's Book Sale

St. Michael’s School & Nursery was established in 1890 by the Episcopal Diocese of Delaware to care for children of working parents. At Christ Church, we sell books donated by parishioners (50 cents per paperback and $1.00 per hardback), with all proceeds benefitting St. Michael's. Each year more than $1200 is raised for the St. Michael's Scholarship Fund.  Be sure to visit the St. Michael's Book Nook between the Commons Room and Parish Hall C in the Parish Center or stop by the book table during Lemonade on the Lawn to find your next good read.  For more information about this ministry, please contact Al Mascitti by filling out this contact form.
