Ongoing Needs:

Brandywine Pastoral Institute
BPI is interested in having Christ Church representation on the Board of Directors and Community Advisory Board. Clerical help and fund-raising help are also needed. Call 651-0223.

Brandywine Village Summer Camp
Opportunities are available year-round as mentors and event planners, donators of school supplies, and helpers with spring garden day and the summer book drive. Call 658-8277.

Camp Arrowhead
Volunteers are needed for a work session to help get the camp ready for the camping season.

Camp Possibilities
Volunteer positions are available for camp counselors, recreation/activity staff, and medical staff.

Cathedral Choir School of Delaware
Volunteer opportunities include being a homework buddy, mentor, or tutor to a youth, serving on the Board of Directors, Advisory Board, or on the new Day School Exploration Committee. Call 654-6279.

Children & Families First
Volunteer opportunities include one-time events such as assisting with the coordination of personal and baby care item drives or on-site projects like painting or landscaping to longer-term projects like mentoring students or volunteering in the teen health clinic. Call 777-9740.

Christina Cultural Arts Center
Volunteers are needed to participate as cultural event and program assistants and classroom and office assistants. Volunteers are needed as well with professional marketing and public relations experience. Call 652-0101.

Connecting Generations
Volunteers are needed to help with special programs throughout the year, to donate books and games that can be used during mentoring sessions, and to become trained mentors throughout Delaware. Call 656-2122.

CONTACT LifeLine
Volunteers are needed for the Crisis Helpline and the Reassurance and Rape Crisis Programs. Training courses are offered in the spring and fall. Call 761-9800.

Delaware Adolescent Program, Inc.
Volunteers are needed in our mentoring program for pregnant teens. Call 764-9740.

Delaware Futures, Inc.
Tutors, mentors, and presenters on a wide array of life skills topics are needed, such as financial literacy, nutrition, financial aid, and citizenship. Call 652-8619.

Delaware Guidance Services for Children & Youth, Inc.
Volunteers are needed to serve on the Board, to help with their annual fund-raising event, and to help with public relations and marketing. Call 652-3948.

Exceptional Care for Children
Volunteers are needed to read to children, assist with activities, provide administrative help, and serve as garden crew. Call 894-1001.

First State School Program

First State School seeks one-on-one mentors as well as general classroom volunteers. Call 428-5858.

Friendship House
Volunteers are welcome to tutor adults with GED or children with elementary school homework or to assist at the Clothing Bank by delivering clothing orders and picking up donations. Call 652-8133.

Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County

Volunteers over 16 are always welcome on site to help build houses. Support services including greeting, lunch preparation, and committee members for selection, family support, and development are also needed. Call 652-0365.

Interfaith Community Housing of Delaware, Inc.
Volunteer opportunities include Board membership, committee membership, clerical assistance, and help with beautification and landscaping projects. Call 995-7408.

La Comunidad Hispana
La Comunidad Hispana is seeking volunteer assistance in data entry, marketing, graphic design, copy writing, editing, proof reading, bilingual phone support, and help with mailings and fund-raising events.

Latin American Community Center

The LACC always needs adult tutors for English-as-a-second-language classes as well as after-school homework helpers and mentors. Call 655-7338.

Limen House
Volunteer support is needed on the Board of Directors, in providing maintenance support, assisting with repairs at each of the houses, and making presentations to clients as part of their group education series. Call 652-7969.

Volunteer tutors are always needed, and opportunities are available to help with office support, fund-raising efforts, and special events. Call 425-4080.

Rodney Street Tennis and Tutoring Association
Volunteers to serve as tutors and tennis instructors are needed to help with their program. Call 761-9290.

St. Michael’s School and Nursery, Inc.
Numerous opportunities for volunteers include classroom help, cooking projects, field trip chaperone, office help, sharing a talent such as painting or gardening, and help with mailings and fund-raising projects. Call 656-3389.

Survivors of Abuse in Recovery, Inc.
Volunteers are needed to help with fund-raising, marketing, and public relations, as well as to provide home and garden maintenance, landscaping, and painting assistance. Call 655-3953.

Trinity Alcohol & Drug Program
Volunteer support is needed for hospitiality to the homeless on Sunday afternoons. Call 655-1153.

Urban Promise
Volunteers are needed for a variety of programs such as work days, tutoring, sponsoring special events, after-school programs, camp nights, and youth panel discussions. Call425-5502.

West Center City Early Learning Center, Inc.
Volunteer support is needed in the classrooms before, during, and after school hours. Arts and crafts and tutoring are areas especially needed. Call 656-0485.

West Center City Seekers
Volunteers are needed to read aloud to the children, tutor in reading and math, play board games, lead an exercise program, and dream up and make available field trips to nearby places. Call 655-8847.

Wilmington Senior Center
Volunteers are needed to organize and lead a grandparent/grandchild events, collect school supplies, and food for Thanksgiving and Christmas gifts. Call 651-3460.

YWCA Delaware
