Growing in Gratitude - A Community Giving Thanks

As members of the Christ Church community, we have so many wonderful blessings for which to be grateful, including inspiring worship, music, and adult enrichment programs, magnificent buildings and grounds, a consistent, safe, and nurturing environment for our children, youth, and families, energetic fellowship and pastoral care, and a caring mission and outreach ministry within our local and extended communities.

As we reflect on all that we should be grateful for, it is important that we show our thanks to God by becoming better and better stewards...with the goal of helping to focus us spiritually around the good and the worthy and the many things for which we can be truly internally grateful and outwardly thankful.

Prayerful Consideration of Your Gift

As you think about your commitment, reflect about the many ministries at Christ Church. As you talk to members of your household, count your blessings and consider your heart's intent. You can never "out-give" God, but your pledge can be a reflection of God's incredible generosity and joy. As a measure of your values, does your pledge compare well with other financial commitments such as leisure activities and memberships? How does it compare relative to your means and other members of your generation?

Ingathering of Pledges

Our ingathering of pledges takes place in the worship services on Sunday, October 30, 2011. Pledges brought in then and all pledges received by mail or internet are placed in a basket on the altar symbolizing our offerings to God from the abundance that God has given us.

Three Ways to Pledge

  • Return the pledge card by mail.
  • Send us your pledge electronically. You may also give online via a direct debit from your bank account or credit card.
  • Contact the Church Office during business hours: 302-655-3379.
In all cases, we will send you a confirmation of your pledge for your records.
